Dancefloor launches the Nightlife Dividend Programme to support grassroots venues and promoters

A recent report by The Night Time Industries Association suggests rising costs and ongoing pressures mean the UK is losing three nightclubs every week and will have none left by 2030. To help the fight for survival of independent venues and promoters across the country, Dancefloor’s new model introduces a first-of-its-kind profit-sharing system built on collective success. Every month, 25% of Dancefloor’s booking fees are pooled and redistributed back to the venues and promoters selling on the platform to provide a new, automatic revenue stream on top of existing ticket sales.

The Nightlife Dividend launches first in London, with more cities set to follow, and aims to create a fairer, more sustainable ecosystem for the dance music industry.

Says Ben King, Founder & CEO of Dancefloor, “Our night-time ecosystem is at breaking point, we’ve all seen incredible local venues and promoters struggle or disappear. After working at two music ticketing companies previously I saw firsthand how the old way of doing things is not sustainable, and it’s clear the system has to change. I started Dancefloor because I wanted to do things differently… with The Nightlife Dividend we’re putting money back into the hands of the people who make nightlife possible. It’s about rebuilding the ecosystem from the ground up.”

Unlike traditional ticketing models, Dancefloor’s approach rewards community participation rather than exclusivity. Promoters and venues can continue using their existing systems while still benefiting from the monthly payout, simply by listing their events and selling tickets on the platform.

Dancefloor has already made waves as the go-to app for discovering DJs and club nights, connecting fans with events through real-time notifications, personalised recommendations and seamless ticketing. Available now on iOS and Android, the platform is designed not just for fans, but also for the DJs and promoters powering the scene.
