Concord Music Signs Producer And Grammy Award Winning Songwriter Alex Metric

Concord Music, the worldwide independent leader in music publishing, today announces a new global publishing deal with British producer and songwriter Alex Metric.

Internationally in demand, Alex has worked with a plethora of artists including Robbie Williams, Charlie XCX, Avicci, Busted and The Infadels. He has also remixed for Foals, Madeon, NERD, Daft Punk, Gorillaz, Depeche Mode and Bloc Party.

In 2010 Alex won a Grammy for his songwriting on The Black Eyed Peas 12 million selling album THE E.N.D which featured the song ‘Party All The Time’. Other collaborations since have included tracks with Stone Roses front man Ian Brown and AMTRAC.

With a sound deeply rooted in the earliest styles of underground dance music, Alex’s style touches on Disco, Funk, Chicago House and Detroit Techno, as well as Indie Rock.

Upcoming writing and production credits include Silk City (Mark Ronson and Diplo) Duke Dumont, Naations, The Knocks, Dua Lipa, Riton and Friendly Fires. His upcoming artist releases include new tracks as Metroplane (Alex Metric & Aeroplane) a new collaborative project with Ten Ven, and solo material.

Alex Metric comments “I’m very happy to have signed with Concord and look forward to getting going with the team”.

Phil Morais, Machine Management said, "Excited to be starting a fresh chapter in Alex’s career and working together with our new partners at Concord”.

Ed Poston, Senior A&R Manager at Concord commented “Alex is an incredible talent, whether writing and producing for his artist project or for others, his distinct style delivers phenomenal energy and depth. We are very excited to be working with him”.

Harri Davies, Senior A&R Manager at Concord concurred, “Alex is a very unique talent. Few songwriters know how to craft dance floor records the way he can - it’s an absolute pleasure to be working with him again”.

His prominence in the UK Dance scene is undoubted, but his relevance across the pond has also grown over the years. Alex’s sound is always developing - challenging the traditional confines of genres, from his club-ready remixes to his more contemporary original works. There’s always something bold and interesting to be expected of him.
