Concord Music Publishing signs songwriter-producer Nickname Jos

Today, Concord Music Publishing announced the signing of artist, songwriter, and producer Josef Kuhn, known professionally as Nickname Jos. The universal co-publishing deal, effective immediately, includes Nickname Jos’ full catalog and future works.

Nickname Jos is a multitalented performer, songwriter, and producer that has worked with many budding artists in the Nashville Indie scene. Whether it's drumming for Annie DiRusso or producing with Hannah Cole, Jos is always working on music. Other artists Jos has collaborated with and produced songs for include Samia, The Greeting Committee, Tommy Lefroy, Archie Summers, Mali Velasquez and Kristiane.

This August, Nickname Jos released an emotionally raw, sonically unpredictable debut album Buckshot, which is entirely self-produced. Buckshot blends several genres including shoegaze and lo-fi pop mixed with 80’s power pop leaning palette, making for a nostalgic but experimental take on modern pop. In the past year, he has also released singles “Shoulders” and “Armor.” His songs have been featured on Spotify’s coveted playlists including “Pop Right Now,” “POLLEN,” and “Fresh Finds Indie.”

Jos is currently touring with Sombr, performing as part of his band on the U.S. leg of the Late Nights & Young RomanceTour and next month will accompany for Sombr’s debut as musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
