In tune. Informed. Indispensable.

Communion are very excited to share details of a forthcoming weekly streamed series of live new music sessions and artists in conversation, filmed at London’s Lafayette.

In partnership with LIVENow, ‘Communion Presents’ takes the form of a weekly 30 minute show featuring two live performances and interviews with Communion’s host Mazin Tappuni. The first episode goes live on Sunday 29th November featuring performances by Olivia Dean and Louis Dunford. Further confirmed guests include APRE, Chartreuse, and Zola Courtney. The first series runs right up to 27th December.

Each intimate show will be broadcast for free on LIVENow, home to amazing live experiences and the destination for Dua Lipa’s “Studio 2054” and Gorillaz “Song Machine Live” shows. ‘Communion Presents’ is the first live music series to air on LIVENow, bringing an exciting new format that allows fans to discover brand new music, week after week. The host Maz Tappuni explains: “Providing a stage for new music has always been at the heart of what we do at Communion. During this disaster of a year, we wanted to find a way to continue supporting exciting new artists and creating a live streaming series seemed the right way to do it. There have been some fantastically memorable streamed shows over the past few months; Dermot Kennedy’s set at The Natural History Museum and Nick Cave’s masterclass at Alexandra Palace were amongst my favourites.

“Lafayette is London’s best new venue, and whilst you can’t come and see that for yourself yet, we hope these online shows offer up the next best opportunity to see what makes it so special.

2020 has undoubtedly been a difficult year for so many new artists who haven’t had any opportunities to play in front of their new fans, and we hope this series with our friends at LIVENow helps bring their live shows to your screens.”

Communion is the multi-faceted live promotions, independent record label and music publishing company. Promoting shows and tours by some of the biggest names in music of recent years, their associated record label has been the home to debut releases by the likes of Michael Kiwanuka, Ben Howard, Catfish & The Bottlemen and Nick Mulvey.

Lafayette opened at the beginning of March in King’s Cross, LDN, with a rare show by the BRIT Award winning artist, Dave. Less than a fortnight later the doors were forced shut as the pandemic and lockdown took a stranglehold right across the globe. Lafayette, like so many venues across the UK and beyond, look forward to welcoming fans back in 2021 when it is safe to do so.
