Chrysalis Records announce raft of new artist signings

Liz Lawrence, Bodega, The Wandering Hearts, Gia Ford & Marika Hackman Agree New Deals 

London-based independent record company Chrysalis Records, which is part of the Reservoir group of companies, has announced several key artist signings.

Liz Lawrence has signed with Chrysalis Records on a worldwide basis. She has released three acclaimed albums to date and is also known for being one half of electro-pop duo Cash+ David.  The English singer/songwriter is set release her first EP for the label ‘I Was There’, the title track featuring Steve Mason, on the 29th of September 2023. A new album will follow in 2024, which has been produced & mixed by Ali Chant (Yard Act, Perfume Genius).

Four other artists Bodega, The Wandering Hearts, Marika Hackman and Gia Ford have also signed global recording deals with Chrysalis Records 

Acclaimed New York based art-punk band Bodega will release a new album in early 2014, while British vocal harmony group The Wandering Hearts, who have twice topped the UK Official Americana Charts, are about to head out on an extensive tour of the US and are releasing a new album in 2024.

Rising pop visionary artist Gia Ford has just released her first track ‘Alligator’ and her debut album for Chrysalis Records is slated for 2024, while British multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter Marika Hackman has recently announced details of her new single ‘No Caffeine’ and will also release her first album for the label next year with UK and US tour dates to follow.

Jeremy Lascelles CEO of Blue Raincoat Music and Chrysalis Records said, “When Robin [Millar] and I decided to re-launch Chrysalis Records as a frontline label in 2020, we only had one criteria as to what we should release – “is it great?”. For every one of these signings, the answer is a resounding “yes!” Each artist in their own way is creating music that is innovative and brilliant. Which means we have a tremendously exciting time ahead of us as a label between now and summer next year.”
