Camille Purcell Enters New Long-Term Publishing Agreement With BMG

Camille Purcell, the songwriter who has just replaced herself atop the UK singles charts with two consecutive Number One singles, has entered into a new long-term publishing agreement with BMG.

Said Camille, "I’m so happy to be signing with BMG again, and continuing such an amazing relationship. The team have done so much for me both in the UK and the US, supporting me both as a writer and now as an artist. I’m so excited for what’s to come in the future."

With two songs in the UK Official Singles Chart, Camille co-wrote Clean Bandit’s ‘Solo’, the newest single to reach the coveted Number One position, and she also collaborated with fellow BMG writer Jess Glynne on Glynne’s most recent Number One hit ‘I’ll Be There.’ This extraordinary feat marks the first time the songwriter earns two consecutive Number One hits with two different songs.

The award winning British singer-songwriter, who also goes by stage name Kamille, is behind UK Number One favorites including Little Mix’s ‘Shout Out to My Ex’ and ‘Black Magic,’ both claiming the top spot for three consecutive weeks. In 2017, Camille collaborated with CNCO and Little Mix on smash single ‘Reggaeton Lento (Remix),’ The Script’s ‘Rain’, and ‘You Don’t Know Love’ and ‘Grow Up’ taken from Olly Murs’ 2016 Number One album 24 Hrs. More recently, Camille co-penned Jax Jones’ newest single ‘Ring Ring’ featuring BMG songwriter Mabel and Rich The Kid.

Lisa Cullington, Senior Director BMG A&R Publishing said, “Camille is an incredibly talented songwriter. Her hit rate is outstanding and we’re delighted that she has decided to stay with BMG. We’re so excited to continue our relationship with her and we look forward to even more success together.”

Purcell joins the new music company’s publishing roster that includes George Ezra, whose Number One album Staying at Tamara’s spent 12 weeks in the UK’s Top 5 Albums chart, Jess Glynne, Mabel, and Blossoms, amongst others.
