Bucks signs Erland Cooper in exclusive publishing deal

The multi-instrumentalist and composer is a SAY nominee and an RTS winner

Bucks Music Group has signed Scottish multi-instrumentalist and contemporary composer Erland Cooper to an exclusive worldwide publishing deal.
As a solo artist, Cooper has released three critically acclaimed albums, completing a trilogy of work inspired by his childhood home of Orkney, as well as themes of nature, landscape and community.
Cooper also works across mixed media projects including installation art, theatre and film.
He is an RTS award recipient, his music is played frequently across BBC Radio 3 and BBC 6 Music, and he has received praise from a range of respected press outlets including the Guardian, Uncut, Q, The Quietus, Clash and Loud And Quiet.
His album Sule Skerry, was shortlisted for the 2020 Scottish Album of the Year Awards, with the LP also being listed in Clash’s 20 Best Scottish Albums of the 21st Century.
Bucks Music Group originally worked with Cooper through a sponsorship agreement with Full Time Hobby for a number of years, during which time Bucks generated many songwriting, production and sync opportunities for the artist. This deal brings Cooper onto the Bucks roster directly as he develops further as a burgeoning composer.  
Syncs include adverts for Marie Curie and Citizen; placements in TV’s The New Pope, Hanna and Brave New World; Jeanie Finlay’s The Great Hip Hop Hoax documentary; and on BT Sport.
Bucks also engineered co-writes with a diverse range of artists including Brooke Bentham, Ailbhe Reddy, George Cosby and Jordan Mackampa – Erland continues to co-write and collaborate with legendary Artist, Paul Weller.
