Karl Lokko, Creative Lead at BRXTN Studios said: “There's very few things that can be a revelation to me when it comes to the borough I've called home for the last 3 decades. I knew there was talent that resides here but the level and the amount has stunned me. To shortlist was a challenge, to pick finalists and then whittle it down to one winner was damn near impossible. But we have our 'Brixton Voices' winner and I'm excited to see what he does with this opportunity.”
DeeCien, Winner of the Brixton Voices Competition said: “This means everything to me. I put 100% into everything I do including this and I've entered this competition to win it. I don't go for opportunities to play around. I want this more than any of the other contestants and I'm going to make full use of the prize. I'm here to stay and for the longevity. I've been left out too many times throughout my career and now I'm at where I once dreamed to be, I'm going all the way with it, taking it all and leaving no crumbs.”
