Beatoven.ai Expands Maestro to Generative Sound Effects, Bringing Licensed AI Audio to Film, Games, and Beyond
21 October 2025 - Press releaseFully licensed, fairly trained generative AI cinematic sound effects now available to creatives via Beatoven.ai and its latest API is now available for enterprises via Fal.ai
The footsteps, howls, splashes, and zips that make media come alive are the secret to a successful game, film, or video. Now sound designers, post-production audio experts, and creators can make any sound they can imagine using Beatoven.ai's newly released expansion for its Maestro foundation model.
Maestro lets users control and tweak their outputs to unlock new sounds or specific ideas, including everything from animal and vehicle sounds to sci-fi bleeps and fun swooshes. They can control the sound's duration up to an industry-leading 35 seconds long and can specify how wildly outputs deviate from a text prompt, harnessing AI "hallucinations" to generate something never heard before. Users can state what they don't want and add context to achieve more nuanced results, as well as adjust the steps to yield higher output quality.
Building on its existing capacity to generate instrumentals, Maestro's latest movement into sound effects is fully licensed, and every output generates revenue for the rights holders of the model's training data. Maestro is trained on licensed data from Pro Sound Effects—one of the industry's most comprehensive catalogs featuring Oscar®-winning and industry-recognized sound artists behind blockbuster films. This licensing ensures rights holders benefit directly from every output.
"Sound is more than a backdrop; it's a powerful storyteller," explains Mansoor Rahimat Khan, CEO & Co-Founder, Beatoven.ai. "Our generative sound effects engine lets video creators, game developers, and filmmakers shape immersive audio worlds quickly and creatively. Built to make every sound feel purposeful, it helps creators set emotion and atmosphere, while giving them the freedom to experiment, break conventions, and bring stories to life."
With both instrumental and sound effect generating capabilities, Beatoven.ai is launching its maestro API on AI infrastructure company fal.ai's marketplace, which offers audio, video & image AI models to enterprises, and recently raised a $125-million round.
"We are extremely excited for this release by the great team at Beatoven.ai," says Burkay Gur, founder of fal.ai. "There is a shortage in music models that are available through API and they are closing this gap. Available Day 0 on fal.ai."
