BBC Radio 6 Music announces its Albums of the Year



 

BBC Radio 6 Music’s Albums of the Year returns for 2023.

The station’s presenters have selected an album which has stood out to them this year and all of their choices will be celebrated in December.

Over the next five weeks (beginning today, 27th November) Matt Everitt’s weekly New Album Fix show (Fridays, 3am-4am) will be an Albums of the Year special, with Matt exploring all the 6 Music Albums of the Year in turn.

Each episode will be available exclusively on BBC Sounds from the Monday before broadcast. 

One track from each of these albums will be added to the 6 Music playlist for one week during December.

The albums will be celebrated on 6 Music and BBC Sounds as follows
