BBC Radio 1 Presenter and DJ Jodie Bryant joins Youth Music as new Ambassador

• Jodie Bryant, known for presenting the BBC Radio 1’s Future Pop show and championing new musical talent, joins Youth Music as an Ambassador
• Throughout the Ambassadorship, Jodie will amplify a variety of Youth Music initiatives, including the Next Generation Day with BBC Introducing at Great Escape Festival, the Rescue the Rootsfundraiser and Youth Music Awards 2025

 

Youth Music, the UK’s leading charity helping marginalised young people make and monetise music, has announced the appointment of BBC Radio 1 presenter and DJ, Jodie Bryant, as an Ambassador.

Youth Music Ambassadors share the charity’s vision to make sure every young person has the chance to make and monetise music, whatever their background or goal. 

Jodie joins long-term Ambassadors electronic DJ duo BICEP, GRAMMY Award-winning artist Eve, chart-topping singer-songwriter MNEK, BBC Radio 1 presenter and DJ Jess Iszatt.

As a presenter and DJ, Jodie’s passion for championing new musical talent - both on and off the stage - is evident through her work on BBC Radio 1’s Future Pop show, her music night Discover Live and interview show Fangirl Files which have all helped catapult numerous careers, especially those of female artists. As well as this, Jodie has played at the Hundred cricket, supported Pixie Lott at the Ned and DJed at Manchester’s MTV EMA awards in 2024. 

As part of her role as Youth Music Ambassador, Jodie moderated the ‘Making it in Live Music’ talk at Great Escape Festival, on Saturday 17^th May, as part of Next Generation Day. The event was a collaboration between Youth Music and BBC Introducing, featuring a panel discussion focused on professional development for emerging artists and entrepreneurs. It offered insights into how to organise a successful live music event – from managing budgets and curating a great audience experience to maximising the hype from the events.

Throughout the Ambassadorship, Jodie will also amplify various Youth Music initiatives, including the £2m Rescue the Roots fundraisercombating the funding crisis facing grassroots music and judging the Youth Music Awards 2025.
