ASCAP summer party attended by UK's top hit-making songwriters and composers

Last night ASCAP held their summer party at Aqua Nueva in London for a celebration of songwriting that gathered together some of the UK's top hitmakers, composers and music industry executives.

The songwriters attending boasted reams of hits and awards between them, including Lewis Thompson (ASCAP London Songwriter of the Year 2022), Ines Dunn (Mimi Webb), KZ (Cat Burns), Lorne Balfe (Mission Impossible – Fallout), and Maestro (Rihanna).

In addition to ASCAP Chairman of the Board and President Paul Williams, Chief Executive Officer Elizabeth Matthews and Vice President, Membership UK/Continental Europe Simon Greenaway, the event was also widely attended by top industry execs from PRS for Music, Sony, Universal, BMG, Concord, Kobalt, Warner Chappell and others.

Mixing in the sun, the party provided a chance for the UK's top songwriters to come together and celebrate the community. ASCAP's London Music Awards, honouring PRS for Music and ASCAP's top songwriters and composers, will be announced in October.
