Armada Music Adds to Burgeoning UK Roster, Signs Rising Talent SILK to Long-Term Recordings Deal
06 June 2025 - Press releaseArmada Music, the world’s biggest independent dance music label, proudly announces the signing of a long-term recordings deal with acclaimed UK dance artist SILK. Having risen to prominence with his breakout single ‘Quiver’ in 2022–a track that helped define and popularise the now-global ‘stutter house’ sound–SILK has quickly become a leading name in the next generation of electronic music talent.
Under this new deal, Armada Music will lead on strategy across A&R, distribution, promotion & marketing, while leveraging its global infrastructure to expand SILK’s reach far beyond the UK. The signing marks a significant addition to Armada’s growing UK roster and reinforces the label’s commitment to nurturing innovative talent from across the dance music spectrum.
SILK commented: “It was a no-brainer to partner with Armada. The team has so much passion and expertise when it comes to dance music, so I’m confident they’ll be able to deliver in all the right places.”
The partnership kicks off with the release of SILK’s highly anticipated new single, ‘I NEED U’, dropping Friday, June 6. The track is already making waves, racking up over 200,000 plays on SoundCloud and securing spots on more than 50 of the platform’s Trending and Viral charts—including reaching No. 1 on the Electronic chart. ‘I NEED U’ also features in SILK’s now-viral DJ set filmed aboard a plane, which has amassed over 50 million views and 6 million likes across social media. SILK’s previous releases have earned support from BBC Radio 1 Dance, Capital Dance, and KISS Dance, while his Spotify following continues to grow, with over 250,000 monthly listeners.
Ben Malone, General Manager UK at Armada Music, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome SILK to the roster and lend our expertise and resources. SILK brings emotion, innovation, and ambition to everything he does, and we’re excited to help him share that with a global audience.”
The signing follows a string of high-profile UK-led additions to Armada’s roster, including long-term deals with British chart-topper D.O.D and Grammy-nominated artist Will Clarke.
