Music technology company SecondScreen brings fans closer to the music

Today music technology company SecondScreen launch an innovative new app that bridges the gap between fans and bands, venues and festivals allowing them to interact directly sharing exclusive content to their mobiles.

SecondScreen, established by Niall Green in 2014, had a single goal to embrace all the buzz and excitement of live performances, bringing fans together in one communal digital space.

The app is based on creating local-networks for specific events allowing users to share content that is relevant and timely, offering instant VIP backstage access to a SecondScreen audience.

“I’ve grown up around the music industry,” said Niall, “and as social media became more prevalent and fans were uploading content to various channels I felt there was a step being missed, a gap where we could create a product that was immediate and intimate for music fans and the artists they love.”

The premise came to the attention of respected live music agent Solomon Parker, who invested his time to drive the product forward.

“I’ve gone to hundreds, probably thousands of gigs over my career and one thing is clear – every one provides a unique experience. The one thing that nagged at me continually though was from seeing hundreds and thousands of people all together at various locations, until now, there was nothing out there socially that could link them all up together at the ONE point in time they wanted to be connected.– until I spoke to Niall about his concept.”

The first brand to embrace SecondScreen is leading music website, Gigwise. The website has established itself over 14 years as being the leading source for music news, reviews and interviews to its one million plus fan base. Later this month they will launch a white labelled version of the channel opening up the SecondScreen technology to all their contributors offering users access to reams of content via the Gigwise SecondScreen app.
