Alfie Templeman announced as the final Amazon Music Breakthrough UK Artist of 2021

Amazon Music has today announced that London singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Alfie Templeman has been selected for its developing artist programme, Breakthrough. Alfie joins Breakthrough 2021 artists Lola Young, Priya Ragu and Olivia Dean, as well as alumni Arlo Parks, JAY1 and more. 

Alfie caught the attention of Chess Club Records aged just 14, when he self-released music recorded in his bedroom. Now, with five EPs and mini-album “Forever Isn’t Long Enough” under his belt as well as touring worldwide, the wunderkind is set to have a stellar 2022. Combining indie-boy-next-door aesthetics with a peerless musicianship - entirely self-taught, he plays no less than ten instruments and also contributes heavily to production - Templeman pushes boundaries like no other teenager. He’s been praised by DORK, NME, DIY, CLASH, The Sunday Times, The Guardian and The Line of Best Fit, plus hailed as “a soon to be international rising star” by British Vogue. Templeman also appeared on Amazon Music’s Artists to Watch list for 2021.

As a Breakthrough artist, Alfie Templemanwill receive support from AmazonMusic including bespoke video and audio content, global marketing support, increased visibility across Amazon Music’s playlists and programming, and a high-profile Amazon Original track available only on Amazon Music. He will join 2021 Breakthrough artists OliviaDean, Lola Young and Priya Ragu and 2020 Breakthrough artist picks Arlo Parks (awarded the prestigious Hyundai Mercury Prize) and JAY1 (two Top 20 singles).
