Alex Dobson joins music publicity company Yes Please

Alex started his radio career at BBC local stations and Amazing Radio where he interned during his time at Sunderland University. After graduating, Alex moved to London to join Sony in a marketing position within SYCO Music. After finishing his internship Alex landed a position as the Radio Promotions Coordinator at RCA where he worked across international campaigns at National and Regional radio including P!nk, Justin Timberlake, Sundara Karma, Nao, Billie Marten, Fredo, Avelino, Brockhampton, MØ, Beyoncé and many more. As well as working within Radio at RCA, Alex developed his creative digital skillset, building assets for domestic campaigns and gaining experience working with streaming services.
Speaking about the new role, Alex says, "I'm so excited to join Yes Please, the range and level of talent of artists on the roster is beyond exciting and the role itself is everything I've hoped for and more. I'm sure the next year is going to be non-stop hard work, but I can't wait to get started and help build the radio department."
Company founder Ruth Emery says, "We are delighted to be welcoming Alex to the Yes Please team. As the industry evolves and changes, we are keen to represent that with our offerings as a one stop shop for broadcast PR (radio and TV) and Press and Online PR. We have big plans for 2019 and Alex is going to be a big part of that. His experience at RCA is a real asset with his history working across priority pop artists to breaking new acts. Yes Please launched in September 2012 as a TV promotions company by Ruth Emery. In 2014 the company first expanded its services to include a press and online department, now headed up by Caroline Beashel. Yes Please currently represent a diverse range of artists including Primal Scream, Will Young, Rosie Lowe, Lauv, Pet Shop Boys, Jamila Woods, Cherry Glazerr, Sam Evian, Wilderness Festival, Greenpeace at Glastonbury and more.
