AIM announces brand new sync conference, AIM Sync



The Association of Independent Music (AIM) has announced a new international sync licensing conference named AIM Sync. Taking place on January 28th at the Barbican Centre, the full day conference will feature future-facing topics, interactive sessions and expert insight on the latest developments in sync.

Connecting business leaders from the key areas of sync licensing, the conference will feature talks and on-stage discussions from an international selection of industry figures working across music supervision in film, gaming, TV, advertising, branding and more. 

A number of panel discussions will take place throughout the day, covering a range of topics including:

 

  • The evolution of creative advertising
  • Soundtracking TV dramas
  • The journey from artist to composer
  • Placing music at the heart of esports
  • Writing for games
  • International film
  • In-house music licensing

The Guild of Music Supervisors and Ukie, the trade body for the UK's games and interactive entertainment industry, are partners on the event, helping to expand the conference's network of expert speakers and placing it at the heart of the music, gaming and music supervision worlds.

The day will commence with a market insight presentation on The Sync Landscape, a specially commissioned research project by Chris Carey, CEO and founder of boutique research company Media Insight Consulting. A special keynote interview will also be announced in the coming weeks.

A variety of international buyers will take part in listening sessions, speed meetings and networking sessions, creating invaluable opportunities for guests to make important connections and take home practical advice to help them achieve their business goals.

The Barbican Centre is a grade II listed building and cultural hub in the heart of London. AIM sync will take over the entire fourth floor including two auditoriums, six conference rooms, a board room and the Barbican Conservatory Terrace.

Tickets are £120+VAT for AIM members, £160+VAT for Friends of AIM and £250+VAT for non-members. Lunch, refreshments and networking drinks are included in the ticket price. Discounts are available for members of affiliate organisations.
