Exceleration Invests In +1’s Catalog And The Companies Form A Partnership For Future Releases

Visionary independent label +1 Records has announced a strategic, global partnership with Exceleration Music, the global venture dedicated to enhancing the future of independent music. 

Exceleration has made an investment in +1’s catalog and the companies have forged a partnership whereby Exceleration will provide the resources and operational support to help power the label’s upcoming releases. Centered on artist development, New York and Los Angeles-based +1 Records has forged a reputation as a contemporary, modern label. Forbes declared, "This record label is what the future of [the] Music Business looks like." 

Co-founder and CEO Jonny Kaps will lead +1 Records into the future and artists will continue to have the personal support of the label’s dedicated team.+1 Records co-founder Nat Hays Boas has exited to pursue other opportunities as the company embarks on this new chapter. As a strategic partner, Exceleration will provide +1 Records with best-in-class support in distribution, marketing, operations, administrative services, and more for its past and future releases.

New music from Rejjie Snow, Nate Husser, Lo Village, and Anna Shoemaker will be among the first releases powered by the new partnership. Since launching with breakthrough releases from The Heavy, the label has built a tasteful, credible, diverse roster of artists from all over the world across multiple genres. +1 is renowned for having the proven ability to take careers to the next level in an organic fashion that preserves artistic integrity. 

The strategic partnership is the latest in a series of significant deals for Exceleration, which has also partnered with notable labels Mom+Pop Music, Kill Rock Stars, Heroic Music Group, and others over the past year.
