!K7 Label Group announces North American partnership with R&S/Apollo Records

The !K7 Label group has announced a North American partnership with R&S Records. The Belgian label (and its sister label Apollo) are recognized as an early supporter of techno originators such as Juan Atkins and Derrick May, as well as one of electronic music’s signature personalities, Aphex Twin and a long list of luminaries such as Ken Ishii, Biosphere, Joey Beltram, Jam & Spoon, Kenny Larkin and many more. In recent years, the label has earned a reputation as a source of vital new talent, having nurtured the careers of contemporary heavyweights including James Blake, Pariah, Lone, Blawan and others. R&S’ partnership with !K7 sees !K7’s New York-based team working closely to provide R&S and Apollo with physical and digital distribution via !K7’s North American network, as well as US-focused strategic input, marketing and label services to help develop and grow the exciting roster of new and established acts on the two imprints.

Horst Weidenmuller, CEO of !K7 Records says: “For my company the US has always been the biggest market and we are all working hard to achieve the same for Renaat and his great team.”

R&S boss Renaat Vandepapeliere states it more simply, "R&S is on a mission in the US."
