We say

This track from the debut EP by Leo Kalyan delivers and satisfies on countless levels. We featured him briefly in the Compass section of our magazine last week but it's now been chosen for BBC 1Xtra’s Introducing Playlist (starting June 29) following on from Mistajam premiering the track on the station as his InboxFresh selection and keen early support for his music from both him and Target. His initial releases found favour there and upfront plays from Annie Mac as well as at Kiss and Capital Xtra, including his recent collaboration on the TCTS track Thinking About You. After stacking up over 100,000 Soundcloud plays in its first week and hitting no.5 on Hypemachine, Radio 1's Huw Stephens showed love for the tune too. Now with more than two million combined Soundcloud plays already under his belt, Leo's debut headline show at The Waiting Room in North London launches the EP on July 29. Honest, personal lyrics and a skilful blend of soulful vocals over cool electronic beats all form a winning combination. We suggest you keep close tabs on this talented chap.
