We say

Teenage singer-songwriter Jerry Williams is likely to be one of the biggest buzz acts at The Great Escape this weekend as UK labels focus their efforts on finding a fresh female star with global potential. A Hairdresser Called Sids was featured by us last September. This track is one of three songs from her EP that’s really making people sit up and pay close attention. A great melody backed up by some skilfully layered production from Bristol boy Dan Brown makes this stand out from the pack. She plays four sets across this weekend in Brighton - solo afternoon spots at Republic Of Music on Friday and Fishbowl on Saturday as part of the Alternative Escape, then full acoustic band sets at Spiegel Bar’s Metro stage on Friday evening and Viber in Jubilee Gardens on Saturday night. Lots of young ladies are getting attention from cool industry tastemakers who, great as they are, may remain too niche to break through with that one big worldwide hit. Let’s put our neck on line again right now. Start chasing Jerry Williams if you're serious about finding a platinum-selling album star with mainstream appeal.
