Catchier than norovirus, power-pop smash I Love It is fast running out of countries to infect with Icona Pop's brand of brash, devil-would-care-if-it-weren't-so-busy-crashing-your-car-into-bridges exuberance. Pulling off the neat trick of combining no-brainer commercial appeal with style press acclaim, New York-based girl duo Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo have been feted by everyone from Pitchfork to Rolling Stone and NME. Co-written by and featuring Charli XCX, I Love It has already been a hit around the world for Icona Pop, from Australia to Germany to their native Sweden, notching up an eye-watering 21 million views since the video was posted last year. Now setting their sights on the UK, I Love It is sitting on the Radio 1 B-list three weeks from impact date, and with the track featuring in the Samsung Galaxy S4 advert, it's hard to see it not repeating its international success here. Not that Icona Pop care either way.
