Rob Hallett launches Robomagic

Born out of the 35 year music business career of Rob Hallett, details were unveiled today of his next adventure.

ROBOMAGIC will be a new disruptive business model on the existing landscape of traditional music industry companies. ROBOMAGIC LIVE will be a boutique operation working with some of the biggest Artistes in the world whilst working in parallel helping emerging Artistes develop their talents and fulfil their dreams of being the stars of the next generation - ensuring a thriving future for the company. The company will continue the GLOCAL policy that Hallett has always adopted in the past, using a Global network of the best Independent promoters with local knowledge in order to produce Global Tours.

In addition to producing some of the largest Domestic and Global tours available, ROBOMAGIC will also seek 360 arrangements with emerging talent to invest in and develop across the multi faceted industry that the music business has become – acting as a guide for both young talented Artistes and Executives through the jungle that has grown up around the industry in recent years.

ROBOMAGIC CAPITAL is the third string to the bow, with models for both emerging and established Artistes. Uniquely offering them finance to grow their own businesses - be it to record the album whilst retaining the rights to the music itself, or to start a different business exploiting the brand that they have worked so hard to build over many years. There are models for both emerging and established Artistes. ROBOMAGIC CAPITAL is also there to help independent promoters compete with the multinational promoting powerhouses by helping to provide affordable finance for their businesses to grow and flourish.

Robomagic is also looking to acquire and grow publishing catalogues across the board.

Rob’s extraordinary career stretches back four decades and he has been fortunate enough to work with some of the greatest names in their field.

From Duran Duran, Adam and The Ants, UB4O and Dexys Midnight Runners to Mary J Blige, R Kelly, Blackstreet, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Usher, Beyonce, Jay Z , Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, The Rolling Stones, Prince, Bon Jovi, The Who, Jennifer Lopez and famously presiding over the return of Leonard Cohen to name but a few! He was founder of AEG Live in the UK where he oversaw some of the highest grossing tours of the decade.

Rob Hallett, CEO of ROBOMAGIC said “After 35 years in this industry I am excited to finally be at the helm of my own company and be in a position to make a difference. The desire to make the lives of both established and aspiring Artistes much fairer and more equitable is at the heart of the company.

We can be nimble in an industry notoriously encumbered by bureaucracy and, most importantly deliver an excellent deal.

ROBOMAGIC has been a while brewing as it was important for me to raise the necessary finance to compete with the biggest in the business and provide a real alternative to the current system.

The name derives from a book that I read as a teenager, “Breakfast of The Champions by Kurt Vonnegut, which features a company that goes under that name. I dreamt of one day owning a company called ROBOMAGIC ever since that day”.

ROBOMAGIC marks a step change in the music industry, a company that, through a series of strategic partnerships, can offer expertise in a variety of areas across the ever changing smorgesboard of musical opportunity.
