[PIAS] Agrees Deal with Ipecac Recordings

New Faith No More Album in 2015

[PIAS] has announced a new label agreement with Ipecac Recordings.

From the 1st of January 2015, [PIAS], through its Artist & Label Services division will provide marketing, sales & distribution services to Ipecac in all markets outside of North America.

A brand new Faith No More album – their first studio release for 18 years – will be released through Ipecac on their own imprint, Reclamation Recordings, in 2015. [PIAS] will handle the marketing and promotion for the album through their extensive network of offices around the world.
Ahead of the new album a first single entitled ‘Motherfucker’ was released on Monday 8th December.

Named after syrup of ipecac, a vomit-inducing medicine, California based Ipecac Recordings was founded on April 1, 1999 by Greg Werckman (ex-label manager of Alternative Tentacles, ex-lead singer of Duh, ex-employee of Mercury Records) and Mike Patton (Faith No More, ex-Mr. Bungle, Fantômas, Tomahawk, Peeping Tom and Mondo Cane).
Originally the label was created for the sole purpose of releasing the first Fantômas album. Currently Ipecac works with a prolific and eclectic mix of artists including Melvins, Isis and Le Butcherettes and many more, alongside Patton's own projects and collaborations.

Greg Werckman, co-founder of Ipecac Recordings said,"Mike and I and the bands are very honoured to be joining the [PIAS] team. We have had great respect for the [PIAS] system for years. With the addition of Faith No More and Reclamation Recordings (FNM's imprint label), we felt it was the right time to step up and increase the Ipecac visibility worldwide. We have been fortunate to develop such a strong and loyal fan-base over the last 15 years and will continue to offer unique and eclectic releases."

"2015 looks to be a great year for Ipecac and the beginning of a successful partnership with [PIAS]"
Mike Patton

Adrian Pope, Managing Director of [PIAS] Artist & Label Services said, “We are very proud to start a relationship with Ipecac at what will be one of the most exciting years in their history. It’s quite special what Greg and Mike have achieved with the label in their own way and the release of a new Faith No More album will be one of the highlights of next year for both existing and new fans around the world”
