MTV UK AND RELENTLESS ENERGY DRINK ANNOUNCE RENEWED PARTNERSHIP



MTV, the UK’s most popular music television network and Relentless Energy Drink have today revealed that music chat show, Relentless Ultra Presents Soundchain, will be returning for a second series, this time fronted by one of the most sought after television and radio presenters in the UK, Nick Grimshaw. 

The 6 x 30-minute series will once again see a number of high profile acts exploring what inspires them as artists and who they have in turn influenced.  Previous acts to have appeared on the show include Ed Sheeran, Biffy Clyro, Chase & Status, Kasabian, Jake Bugg, Nas and Queens of The Stone Age.

The six part series is the result of a renewed partnership between MTV and Relentless and will be produced by JJ Stereo.

Each episode will feature live performances and interviews with one key act, looking into their achievements, inspiring journey to success, commitment and events that have been instrumental in shaping the artists to who they are today.

Relentless Ultra Presents Soundchain will air on MTV Music from Friday 19th June at 11pm and will be repeated on both MTV Rocks and MTV Live. 

Nick Grimshaw is best known for his role as a BBC Radio 1 DJ. His passion and background combined with his championing of new music make him a perfect fit for Soundchain where artists are encouraged to talk openly about their personal experiences with music.

MTV and Relentless will work collaboratively to offer full social and digital media support to the new series ensuring maximum engagement and reach to a millennial audience who consume media across all touch-points. MTV and Relentless will share exclusive content across both of their online platforms, providing followers, users and viewers with additional opportunities to gain more insight into the featured artists’ Soundchain experience.

MTV UK’s flagship music channel, MTV Music, launched in 2011, is the most popular music channel amongst 16-34s in the UK year-to-date in 2014 having grown average viewing amongst that age group by a third since launch.
