New this year!

-        We are proud to announce you that Index Ventures and Seedcamp have joined the competition as selecting partners (along with our historical partners Music Ally and bluenove).

Index Ventures is a leading investment firm that back innovative companies such as SoundCloud, Last.fm, Sonos, Songkick, Facebook, Criteo, Skype, Flipboard, Dropbox, Blablacar among others.

Seedcamp is one of the largest & longest running accelerator in Europe, launched in May 2007 by a group of 30 European investors that provides startups with seed money, mentorship, office space and support over a yearlong program. Its current Chairman is venture capitalist Saul Klein.

 

These 2 new partners should help us raise Midem even more in the large startups ecosystem (not only music) and develop consideration from the venture capitalists.

 

-        The 3 categories of Midemlab have evolved with the opening of a new category dedicated to hardware/internet of things (wearables, connected devices / music hardware /applications enriching the hardware developments).

 

We are very pleased also to announce you that Pepsi is confirmed as sponsor of Midemlab.

 

Timeline of the competition:

-        End of January: Jury members announced

-        March 5, 2015: Deadline for applications

-        Mid-April: Finalists announced

-        June 5 & 6, 2015: 30 finalists pitch their business model at Midem

-        June 7, 2015: Winners announced during the innovation show
