GLORIA ABRAMOFF ANNOUNCED AS INTERIM CEO OF THE RADIO ACADEMY
15 July 2014 - Press releaseGloria Abramoff, Managing Director of Tonic Media and Productions Ltd, has today been announced as Interim CEO (part time) at The Radio Academy, replacing Paul Robinson who stepped down earlier this month.
Gloria took up the post on 14th July and will be responsible for working with the Board of Trustees to lead the creation and delivery of theRadio Academy’s strategic and commercial direction.
Gloria has a rich history in radio broadcasting and production and is highly respected across the BBC, indie and commercial sectors. Tonic Productions specialise in content production for charities and companies, as well as producing programmes and series for BBCRadio and other networks. Prior to Tonic, Gloria was a senior manager at the BBC, Managing Director of BBC Children in Need, helped launch BBC radio stations, pioneered the BBC Social Action Unit and led the Africa Lives season and storytelling campaigns in the BBC’s nations and regions. She has mentored leading on-air talent, chief executives and charities and currently holds several creative advisory consultancies.
Gloria is a trained social worker, a Fellow of The Jamie Oliver Food Foundation and a Fellow and former Trustee of The Radio Academy.
