Nerina Pallot, Amplify Dot, YouTube’s Candice Morrissey & Head of CAA UK Emma Banks Amongst Stellar Line-Up of Speakers

30th November 2015, London’s Living Room, City Hall, London

AIM’s next event, taking place at City Hall in London on 30th November 2015, will celebrate the successes of women in the music industry. Supported by the Mayor of London, the eighth annual AIM Women in Music event is set to be a sell-out success, with a stellar line-up of speakers already confirmed. The last few tickets are now available from http://www.musicindie.com/womeninmusic2015.

Women In Music 2015 will give women (and men!) the opportunity to hear from some of the music industry’s most successful and influential women, as well as the chance to meet, network and drink.

The event will begin with opening remarks from AIM Chairman and CEO Alison Wenham. Alison has been one of the most influential executives in changing the all-male domination at senior levels in the music industry, and her many years supporting the independent music industry earned her an OBE in 2010.

The evening’s keynote interview will see British singer, songwriter and producer Nerina Pallot discuss her career with The Times’ Lisa Verrico. Brit Award and Ivor Novello nominated, Nerina has worked with artists including Diana Vickers and Kylie Minogue and recently released her fifth studio album.

The evening’s talks will conclude with a panel discussion exploring the career paths of women from several different sectors of the music industry, including live, tech, radio and indie labels. The panel features women who are rising stars of 2015 as well as senior industry figures and asks “are we making progress?”

Speakers include:

Sammy Andrews, Head of Digital at Cooking Vinyl
Angie Jenkison, Music Relations Manager, Teenage Cancer Trust (Awarded Campaigner of the Year 2014)
Amplify Dot, Rapper, BBC 1xtra presenter and A&R Parlophone
Emma Banks, Head of CAA UK
Candice Morrissey, Head of Label Partnerships YouTube EMEA
Liz Stokes, Record of the Day (chair)

The event will finish with networking drinks, giving attendees the chance to make new contacts over complimentary drinks.

The event will be held from 6-10pm on 30th November 2015 at London’s Living Room, City Hall, The Queen’s Walk, London, SE1 2AA. This prestigious venue has spectacular views of the Thames and London Bridge, and is home to the Mayor of London.

This event is open to anyone working in the music and entertainment industries, book via http://www.musicindie.com/womeninmusic2015.

AIM actively encourages men to attend this event. Gender equality in the music industry is good for everyone and requires the participation and support of both sexes.

Tickets are £30 for AIM members, £54 for non-members. VAT and refreshments are included in the price.
