Canadian cultural industries body Creative Saskatchewan is to host a trade mission in London from 13th to 17th October, where delegates will meet with executives from UK creative public bodies and private companies, with the aim of boosting awareness of Saskatchewan music.

As part of Creative Saskatchewan, there will be two gigs showcasing the best in up-and-coming acts from Saskatchewan.

The bluesin' indie rock four-piece take their influence from Kings Of Leon, Arctic Monkeys and Red Hot Chili Peppers, their four strong personalities are easily identifiable throughout their songs and they've shared stages with the likes of Robert Randolph and The Family Band, Monster Truck and Dragonette. This show will be the band's UK live debut, and follows the release of their album 'On Your Side' on Bandcamp this July.

On Wednesday 15th October, Zachary Lucky will play at Servant Jazz Quarters, also in Dalston.

Currently touring his third album ‘The Ballad of Losing You’ across the US and Canada, Lucky will also play shows around the UK before another string of North American dates. He is also the grandson of Canadian country music legend Smilin' Johnny Lucky.

Both gigs will feature a supporting acoustic set from Saskatchewan outfit Library Voices.

Over the week, a delegation including Creative Saskatchewan CEO John-Paul Ellson and SaskMusic Executive Director Derek Bachman, as well as representatives from other creative industries. They will be hosting over 100 meetings with executives from the UK creative industries including AIM’s Alison Wenham, UK Music’s Tom Kiehl, Arts Council England’s Alan Davey, the MMF’s Jon Webster, Cooking Vinyl’s Paul Kinder, AIF/Graphite Media’s Ben Turner, [PIAS]’s Steve Rose and BBH’s Ayla Owen.
