WE SAY
One act that we anticipate that there’ll be much interest in at ILMC is Veronica Furaso. After finishing her studies, the 19-year old artist and musician produced her debut EP Lost In Thought on her own in the basement of her parent’s house. After uploading it to Soundcloud, it led to her being invited to perform at 2016’s MusExpo London and 2017’s event in LA. Last spring she won the Demo of the Year award at the prestigious m4music festival, was chosen by Swiss Radio SRF3 as Best Talent of the month and has been nominated this year at the Swiss Music Awards. Now seeking a publisher, label, booking agent and promoter, Furaso's about to release new music that she’s been working on around the world with several top international producers. See her on stage tomorrow (March 8) at Nambucca in London, then as part of the ILMC lunchtime showcase on March 9 and at Camden Assembly later in the evening. This recent song gives us a taste of what to expect. Clean, electro synths pulse and throb under her Lorde-esque vocals and, as a sampler of what's to come, this will do very nicely.
