Houseboat Babies
WE SAY
Houseboat Babies is an undeniable piece of summer pop which builds with every chorus to an anthemic frenzy. We fell in love with Reptar's demo of this track well over a year ago and now in its album form, we couldn't wait for the single edit, which is set for release in September. In our review for first single Stuck In My ID we raved about the work of producer Ben Allen (MIA, Animal Collective, Gnarls Barkley, et al) which is exemplified again here. Houseboat Babies was used as the theme music for Black Cab Sessions US on C4, with current single Sebastian picking up support from Amazing Radio, Nick Grimshaw at Radio 1, Clash, the Fly and NME. It's been a waiting game since the band came to our attention as the standout of SXSW 2011, finally the full LP Body Faucet is complete and ready for release on July 2.
