Newton Faulkner
Write It On Your Skin

Ugly Truth/RCA

WE SAY

Newton Faulkner's third album set-up EP Sketches has been lodged in the top three on iTunes since its release at the weekend, peaking at No.1 yesterday. 25,000 fans have seen him play across the UK in the past four weeks, which offered a first opportunity to test his forthcoming Write It On Your Skin album tracks (released July 9). The reception to the EP's lead single and album title track Write It On Your Skin and the iTunes charting of the EP show what the fans think. Over the summer, Newton is playing an array of festivals ranging from the Fearne Cotton-curated Festifeel in June, co-headlining surf festival Oceanfest in Croyde Bay with Ben Howard, and V Festival, before an October tour which will see him play to 50,000 people. First single proper - Clouds - is serviced this week with a commercial release on July 1.  Video.
