Last time we featured the gorgeous tones of Australian duo Oh Pep! was back in 2016 ahead of their UK tour with Wanting, the last single from their excellent debut album Stadium Cake. Since then the pair have been touring almost continuously and have shared stages with Valerie June, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Lord Huron, The Mountain Goats and Billy Bragg. Their latest single, Half Life, was initially released in Australia as part of the 30 Days of Yes campaign for marriage equality in Australia and is a beautifully luxurious pop song. Upon release, the track was featured in New York Times weekend playlist and has since featured on Spotify’s Fresh Finds and New Indie mix playlists. Previous tastemaker support has come from Rolling Stone, NPR, Stereogum, Bandcamp, Consequence of Sound and Paste magazine. They are currently recording their second album but will be returning to London next month to play the Lexington on 19 April. Totally captivating.
