Kraak & Smaak ft. Ben Westbeech
Squeeze Me

Jalapeno Records

WE SAY

This track from Dutch DJ/producing trio Kraak & Smaak is gaining popularity in the US, where it was synched to Rhapsody TV ad recently. They're currently on a US tour and are booked to appear on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live later this month. Tracks from their first album have been used on Grey's Anatomy among other shows and movies. Ben Westbeech, whose album 'Welcome to the Best Years of Your Life' on Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood label was well-received on its release last year, provides the soulful vocal which drives this dance/funk track. Supported by Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Trevor Nelson and Zane Lowe on its first release in June, the single will get another release in the UK next February - it's definitely a track with strong crossover appeal and deserving of another airing. Kraak & Smaak are nominated in the Dutch category for Best European Band at this week's MTV Europe Music Awards. JF
