After Before

Kindelan

Bridge The Gap

WE SAY

Yorkshire alt-soul artist Kindelan returns today (3 July) with ‘After Before’ – a powerful two-track project telling two sides of a love story in reverse. Backed by Youth Music’s ‘Next Gen’ Fund, the double single features ‘Cigarettes’ – a raw reflection on love in ruins – and ‘Wish I Wrote A Love Song’, which captures the relationship in its tender beginnings. Produced by longtime collaborator Ed Allen, the release expands on Kindelan’s signature finger-picked guitar tones with a darker, more textured edge. We’ve featured the gorgeous ‘Wish I Wrote A Love Song’ but could have easily been ‘Cigarettes’, both are beautifully composed, exquisitely performed, and deserving of support at DSPs and radio. With past backing from tastemakers including BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, BBC Introducing and Atwood Magazine, Kindelan continues to impress in the UK alt-soul scene. For fans of Lianne La Havas, Madison Cunningham and Olivia Dean.
