Chasing The Morning Light
WE SAY
We first featured Manchester-based singer Karima Francis about two years ago just before her ITC gig. The track we featured 'The Author' is now the title track of her debut album on Kitchenware. This is a low-key release before that album drops in 2009. The first time around we wrote that we heard "Joan Armatrading and others but there's nothing derivative about her voice or her songwriting". She is a striking voice with some great songs up her sleeve and a spine-tingling live set -catch her remaining London dates. JF London gig: November 24/December 8, Enterprise NW3
