Didrik Thulin
Teenage Hype

EDDA Music AS / Universal Music AS

WE SAY

Didrik Thulin is a Scandi artist who we first featured in February with his Sonny Alvin-collaboration Fading. That cool tropical house track is now followed-up with another on-trend slice of chilled dance that grabs your ear immediately and wins over your heart in the process. It’s a song about friendship, and the unconditional love and joy that relationship can bring when you’re in it with someone you look up to. A perfect soundtrack to the summer, it distills those moments of pleasure when you start hanging out with older people who take you on a journey into new experiences whilst pushing limits along the way. Thulin counts Kygo among his mates and his influence rubs off here. It’s given him the confidence to make this his first self-produced single, and his debut as a singer and songwriter too. He’s set to perform for the first time in London this coming September, but right now this track sounds amazing with the sun beating down and all the windows open. Once again, those pesky Nordics are running the show when it comes to influencing the global sound of 2016, it seems.
