Black Orchid Empire
God Is Awake

The Record Label

WE SAY

It’s only a matter of weeks since we last featured Black Orchid Empire and their great track Come In, but now comes the swift follow-up. Comprising of previous members of Queen Adreena and Cape Fear, what’s impressing us most about this London-based three-piece is their confidence and assuredness. Solid hooks, crunchy riffs, addictive melodies. Everything is in place for them to connect with rock fans worldwide, especially once their debut album is released this November. Between now and then, watch their profile continue to build at home as this is Single of the Week at Kerrang! Radio, playlisted on both Planet Rock Radio and Kerrang! TV, and there’s a launch party gig in London for the single next Wednesday night (May 11) at Islington’s O2 Academy2, supported by Brutai. As we’ve said before, rumours of the death of British rock were greatly exaggerated. As a nation, we play it better than anyone else in the world and these boys, led by singer Paul Visser, will help you reignite your passion for it all over again. Strap yourself in.
