WE SAY
South London-based Dan Smith writes and records under the name Bastille. Flaws/Icarus is the first single, a limited edition vinyl release through Young & Lost Club. Dan's video for Flaws, edited from the Terrence Mallick film Badlands, caught the attention of bloggers at the start the year and it has since had over 25,000 hits on YouTube. As well as currently playing the River Rat Pack Tour, where the band is sailing on a barge from London to Oxford playing free gigs every night, they also play Glade and Isle of Wight Festivals among others this summer. So there's buzz, a great team involved and best of all, the music - as shown in the distinctive and hooky Flaws - is worth the attention too. Bastille are available for records and publishing.
