WatchTheDuck
Poppin' Off

Epic

WE SAY

Labelled 'trapstep' for their unique synthesis of trap and dubstep, Atlanta-based trio WatchTheDuck are Eddie Smith III, Jesse Rankins and Jonathan Wells, all DJ's and producers originally hailing from Montgomery, Alabama. Signed to Epic by LA Reid, their intoxicating mix of rap, soul, R&B, EDM and duck costumes takes flight in soaraway track Poppin' Off, helped by an eye-candy body-popping video now approaching a million views on YouTube. Zane Lowe made this a Next Hype all the way back in October, with further Radio 1 plays from Phil & Alice (ROTW), Toddla T, Mistajam, Annie Mac, Trevor Nelson and Sara Cox, while 1Xtra, Xfm and Choice have all pitched in. The band get their ducks in a row for a string of UK June dates in June, including the Rockness and Parklife festivals, plus a Birthdays club date on June 10. Watch this one fly.
