Theme Park
Wax

ParadYse/Transgressive

WE SAY

Theme Park were launched into music industry limelight when they put Milk online. It received a huge amount of interest and complementary comparisons to Talking Heads were hard to deny. Wax however shows another side to the band, an uplifting ballad, fusing indie guitars with warm synths, all supported by an anthemic chorus.  Both this song, and A Mountain We Love - the other side to this 250 limited 7" run - have had specialist plays on both sides of the Atlantic. American station The Fader showing early support, and in the UK, Radio 1, with plays from Huw Stephens, Lauren Laverne and Zane Lowe. Theme Park are the first release on Transgressive singles imprint ParadYse, and will share their single launch, and indeed debut show, with the label's launch at The Lexington on Wednesday night (August 31).
