You Know You Like It
WE SAY
Aluna's delicate R&B vocal melodies are backed by George's busily electronic production, coming together fantastically to create this superb pop song. You Know You Like It is the second single from AlunaGeorge, a duo that have certainly caught our imagination. George found Aluna's old band on MySpace in 2010, offered to do a remix, and an instant chemistry was discovered. The Guardian gave them a storming review in their 'New Band of the Day' column, and such was the impression on UK garage legends B15 Project, they have come out of retirement to remix this single. First release, We Are Chosen, got the momentum going, and since then they have racked up 35,000 plays on Soundcloud. You Know You Like It was made Popjustice's Song Of The Day, and a fans upload to YouTube of the track has already received over 16,000 plays. With a good body of work already completed and the two of them busy creating more, they are definitely offering something exciting and fresh to the UK urban scene and show a great deal of potential. AlunaGeorge play V Festival in Stafford (August 20), and if you're not lucky enough to be there, you can catch them live on Sunday at The Old Blue Last.
