Kimya Dawson's songs make up most of the soundtrack for cult US indie film Juno, which is released in the UK this weekend. In particular, Anyone Else But You features prominently in the film, which has four Oscar nominations. The soundtrack for Juno is currently number one in the US with over 250,000 sales to-date and has been the best-selling album on iTunes since release. A whole raft of people are discovering and re-discovering the work of Adam Green and Kimya Dawson (both as solo artists and together as Moldy Peaches) through the film, and the media coverage over here has been positive: see Guardian articles here and here. We're glad that Rough Trade are bringing this to radio to tie-in with a March release of the single. "A charming love song finally set to become a hit" say The Evening Standard- we agree. Adam Green's solo album, Sixes & Sevens, is due out on Rough Trade in March. JF
