Talk In Code
Stand

DO IT! Records [Distribution]

WE SAY

Swindon band Talk In Code independently released their debut album last year. Having supported Catfish & The Bottlemen, Amber Run and Delays on tour, they’re building up a core of followers in the traditional way by gigging and through word-of-mouth. The whole album was recorded by Geoff Swan, the engineer responsible for all of Ed Sheeran’s massive hits from his X album. Lyrically, Stand tells the very relatable tale of being stuck in a vicious circle and has already picked up attention and plays from 6 Music, as well as being regionally featured by BBC Introducing. They next come to London this coming Tuesday (March 10), playing at the afterparty at Scala for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. They then return to 1001 on Brick Lane on April 8 before gearing up for a showcase at The Great Escape in Brighton on May 14. We’re reminded of Feeder at their most reflective and melodic here, with impassioned vocal delivery and strong tight musicianship right across the band. No-nonsense, reliable indie like this will always find a welcoming audience. Open up and let them in.
