WE SAY
We last featured Norwegian duo Nico & Vinz back in July, a month before they scored a debut UK No.1 smash with the infectious Am I Wrong. That went on to become a No.1 too on radio airplay as well as Shazam worldwide for two months and things are building nicely with this equally-likeable follow-up. Just added this week to Radio 2’s B-list, already on 1xtra’s A-list and with half a million UK Spotify streams to date, they’ve just landed the support slot on Usher’s huge nationwide tour next March, taking in London’s O2 Arena for two dates. Like its predecessor, it’s another gorgeous blend of afrobeats and sweet soulful melody, highlighting positivity in the world and steeped in optimism for humanity, despite the backdrop of our daily troubled times. Those themes run throughout their album Black Elephant Star and with another single from it due early in 2015, it seems like their summery vibes will be an oh-so-welcoming soundtrack to whatever gloomy winter throws at us.
