WE SAY
Bobby Tank's self-donned 'maximal' production is a veritable feast of layered synths and hook after hook, with Afterburn filling up Radio 1 DJs' 'free plays' and set to rule the dancefloor throughout the summer. Still with some time before its impact date, his first release on the recently reborn MofoHifi is picking up huge support, with Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw carrying the torch with 20 plays (and counting) at Radio 1, although not exclusively restricted to those, and further excitement coming from Xfm, Kiss and Capital. Starkey, Pinboard Blog and Sonic Router are already fans, and with his forthcoming Afterburn EP doing incredibly well in blogland, plus a recent 'New Band Of The Week' feature in The Guardian (print), things are setting up very well indeed for Bobby Tank.
