Martina Topley Bird
Poison (Van She remix)-

Independiente

WE SAY

The follow-up to Martina Topley Birds' Mercury Prize-nominated debut album Quixotic is due out next month on Independiente. Danger Mouse-produced The Blue God is her first album in five years. Her trademark laid-back vocal is present, and on this version - remixed by the Modular-signed Australian band Van She - it's backed by a great building track. Another electro remix effort from The Officers completes a strong package. A fine performance on Jools Holland proves that under this remix there's a beautiful song in its own right - watch it here.
