pretty girl in la

self release

WE SAY

We’ve spoken about our admiration of Nashville-based dream-pop act girlhouse, aka Lauren Luiz, earlier this year when she released her stunning loaded gun. It made a massive impression with tastemakers here in the UK, with Dummy, Independent, Notion, Wonderland, Atwood and many more praising the track. Radio support came from BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music, while at streaming the song was added to editorial playlists at Spotify and Tidal. Last month, she dropped her debut EP, the girlhouse ep, and this gorgeous guitar-led bop reflects on her time in LA and the impact it had on her mental wellbeing. With its lush and dreamy tones layered amongst her smooth and inviting vocals, pretty in la picked up online praise from Earmilk, the Line of Best Fit, Under the Radar and more. She has just been confirmed to support the Snuts on their US tour, and let’s hope she announces some UK dates too.
