Echotape
Whiskey Bar

Amalgamated Sonic Industries

WE SAY

Currently unsigned, seeking management and label representation, hot young Hampshire quartet Echotape can already count Dermot O'Leary as a fan after he played their recent excellent self-released debut We Should Feel Like We're In Love on his Saturday afternoon BBC Radio 2 show. Since then, Carl Barat of The Libertines has joined them on stage at a recent London gig and they've been slogging away on the live circuit, building a name for themselves via the DIY approach. It's seen this song trending on Soundcloud and they now have over 165,000 combined plays on both tracks, leading Sky News to get in touch to run a feature on them next week. Vocalist Marc Burford is impressive on this confident, tight slice of raw guitar euphoria and you'd be churlish to not want to join them for the booze-fuelled ride. Club Jubilee at Camden's Barfly on October 10 is the launch night party for the single. The great little video gives a taste of what to expect and you can see yourself why their live reputation is building very rapidly. We'll drink to that.
