WE SAY
This debut single by Magalie is unashamedly pure pop, co-produced by her alongside Tom Fuller (who's worked with the likes of Kelly Rowland and Patrick Wolf). She was born in Paris to Mauritian parents, spent most of her life growing up in London from the age of five and started singing aged 12. In the past few years she's had writing sessions with some of the best names in the business like Guy Chambers and Wayne Hector and now counts Taio Cruz as a friend and mentor to her. At present she's preparing her debut album for the early part of 2015, with this song (written in the shower of her basement flat in Clapham) being the first taster. Think Katy Perry meets Rita Ora and you'll understand why the track and video has racked up over 200,000 views in just a week, an impressive start for an unknown act. London's Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen is the venue for her debut live performance on September 19. Fun, frothy and feel good, let's get ready to pucker up.
